So I decided to write this post back in January, but *VROOM*, 6 months later and we're here!
It's here! Not only a new year, but a new decade!
It's probably the time to sit down, and focus on the person that you want to be. Yes, it can be cliche 'new year, new you', but why not this time, do it and stick to it.
If that's the person you want to be, do it! Yes of course, it does take time to change habits, but really work at it and you will be who you are meant to be. It will be oh so rewarding.
I'm sure you've seen the 10 year challenge going around back in January, how about you think about your situation and how far have you come along in 10 years?
GIVE YOURSELF A PAT ON THE BACK!
You might feel so much better, you might feel so much worst. Either way,you have come on a journey, and that's leading you on your path and where you are meant to be.
If there are things you love, continue them.
Dislike, then change them.
You have that power.
10 years ago I was 17, applying for Uni and very very young. 10 years later; Married, in our own flat, had a mental breakdown, and now in a stable career I LOVE.
BUT I also awoke and had a massive self discovery lesson.
I'm currently working on all the above too. After last year there are SO many things I want to be, want to try, want to do. And with the world's current sitation on Covid-19, time really is precious, so make every moment count.
How about you have a go at some of the questions below? Here are my answers to help you out.
What new skill have you learnt this year?
Its not new, but I've started to learn Spanish through a course. Also wanted to learn another language!
What old habit/hobby have you picked up again that makes you happy?
DJing. Music is (pretty much) a shared love for everyone!
What have you removed from your life because it was making you sad?
Worry about what others think of me. (And I am still working on it)
What one thing are you grateful to have learnt so far this year?
That I am strong enough to support myself and others (during UK Lockdown)
What is one thing you would like to change to better yourself?
My diet, I would love to become Vegan, but I'm not quite ready for that step but I am vegetarian.
What would you like to do more off?
Dancing
You have the power to be WHO YOU WANT TO BE. So go and be it!
